Prof. Singh is the director of DSPPG and a Professor at Delhi School of Economics. He did his Ph.D. (Economics) from Jawaharlal Nehru University and Post-Doctorate from Harvard University and has been a Fellow at London School of Economics. He is recipient of several awards and honours including Fulbright, Commonwealth, Erasmus Mundus and DAAD fellowships. He has taught at Brown University, Universities of Hamburg, and Heidelberg among others.
Prof. Singh has published in leading international journals including Journal of Economics, Journal of Law and Economics, American Law and Economics Review, European Journal of Economics. He writes Op-eds regularly for leading national newspapers – especially The Economic Times, The Hindu and Dainik Bhaskar (Hindi). Areas of his expertise are public economics, law and economics, contract theory, taxes, banking and financial regulation. He appeared for the Standing Committees of the Parliamentary and has served on several committees of Government of India, including as a member of the 7th Pay Review Panel. Currently he is a member of the Board of Governors of Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs, and the expert panel of the Empowered Expert Committee on Institute of Eminence.
Professor V. K. Ahuja is the Joint Director of DSPPG and Vice-Chancellor of National Law University and Judicial Academy, Assam, India. He did his L.L.M. and Ph.D. Degrees from University of Delhi and M.Phil. Degree from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi. He also did a course on Law Teaching and Legal Research Skills from Cardiff Law School, Cardiff University, United Kingdom. Previously, he served as a professor In-charge of Law Centre-II, Faculty of Law, University of Delhi (2017-2020).
Prof. Ahuja has published his works in multiple leading international and national journals of repute including European Intellectual Property Review, European Intellectual Property Review, Supreme Court Journal, National Capital Law Journal, etc. He has actively served as a vital member at multiple organisations in Board of Studies, Academic Council, Executive Council of several Central and State Universities. He has also been appointed as Member of the UGC Committee to Frame Guidelines for Introduction of Courses on Law for Holistic and Multidisciplinary Education in 2022. He is a Member of Board of Management, Judicial Academy (Assam) Governing Body of CLAT Consortium, and Governing Council of DSNLU Vishakhapatnam.
Dr. Ashutosh Mishra, is a highly accomplished law scholar with more than 10 years of experience in teaching Law and governance at the University of Delhi. He earned his LLB and LLM from Delhi of University and PhD from Jamia Milia Islamia, New Delhi. Presently he is working as an Assistant Professor, in the Law Faculty, with the additional duty of OSD to School of Public Policy and Governance, Institution of Eminence, University of Delhi. Having thorough knowledge in Copyright, IPR, Mediation, and Criminal law. 10+ years’ experience in teaching, research, strategic planning, project coordination, and public speaking. As an innovative person who utilizes his knowledge and skill in challenging and analytical work, he successfully performed his role as teaching faculty, research scholar, administrative officer/member and consultant in various universities, ministries and institutions. His research on social and judicial issues was funded by various Ministries of Government of India such as Tribal Affairs, Social Justice, Industry, and MSME, etc.
Dr. Mishra has a series of national and international publications on copyright, mediation, and Intellectual Property Rights subjects. He has presented a number of research papers and lectures on national and international platforms. He has organised a number of certificate courses, international and national seminars, conferences and workshops on legal and policy issues. Recognising his contribution in the field of gender empowerment, MSME has awarded him with the ‘Award of Appreciation for Contribution in Promotion of Entrepreneurship’. He has been appointed as members of the various government and corporate bodies.
